Je Me Régale ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your personal information. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we use it. By using our website and making a reservation, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
Data We Collect
We collect the information you provide when making a reservation or contacting us: your name, phone number, email address (optional), reservation date and time, party size, dietary requirements, and any special requests. We also collect IP address and device data automatically for security and fraud prevention purposes.
How We Use Your Data
We use your data to process and confirm reservations, send SMS and email confirmation and update notifications, respond to enquiries submitted via the contact form, improve the website experience, and for internal analytics. Our analytics track page view counts only. We do not use third-party advertising or behavioural tracking cookies.
SMS and Email Notifications
By submitting a reservation with your phone number, you consent to receive SMS messages from Je Me Régale regarding your booking, including confirmations, updates, and reminders. Standard network rates may apply. You may opt out at any time by contacting us at jemeregaleghana@gmail.com.
Admin Authentication
Staff members can sign in to the restaurant's admin panel using a Google account. When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google to create and identify your admin account. This data is used solely to authenticate admin access and is never used for marketing or shared with third parties beyond our authentication provider, Supabase. Admin access requires prior approval by an existing administrator regardless of sign-in method.
Data Sharing
We do not sell or rent your personal data. We share data only with trusted service providers necessary to operate our business: Supabase, our database and authentication provider, for storing reservations and managing admin sign-in; mNotify, our SMS provider, for sending booking notifications; and Resend, our email delivery provider, for sending reservation confirmations, updates, and account-related emails. We may also disclose data as required by Ghanaian law.
Data Retention
Reservation records are retained for twelve months from the reservation date, after which they are securely deleted. Contact form messages are retained for six months.
Your Rights
You have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, please email us at jemeregaleghana@gmail.com and we will respond within a reasonable timeframe.
Cookies
We use minimal session cookies and local storage required for the admin panel to function, including maintaining your sign-in session when you authenticate via Google. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
